The Confederation of British Industries and the Federation of Small Businesses stated that Brexit is one of the key issues facing businesses in the UK. According to the FSB’s report A Skilful Exit: What small firms want from Brexit*:
- 1/5 of small business employers have EU staff
- 1/3 of small firms do business with or within the EU
- 72% of small businesses recruited all their EU staff when they were living in the UK
